Southern Non-Fried
A heartfelt shout out to Kristie Guffey! Thank you for the delish recipe and pics. The zukes are good. The time in the kitchen with the kiddos is great!
Ingredients
- 2 large zucchini sliced
- 1 egg whisked
- 1 cup Panko breading
- 1 cup Italian Bread crumbs
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix panko breading and Italian Bread crumbs place on a flat dish
- Whisk egg and place in a bowl
- Slice zukes
- Dunk zukes in egg
- Dip/coat the bathed zukes in the breading
- Roast at 350 degrees for 12 then flip for an additional 12 minutes for a total of -24 minutes.
- Gobble this southern delicacy right up!! Pair with others southern classics: Smoked barbecue pork ribs, black eyed peas and if you like trying new beers go for the Dunkel. A German classic with a southern delight. Hope you enjoy a taste of the south with a shout out to a healthier heart.
